Welcome to Mr Robert Petrarca
Mr Robert Petrarca FRCOphth MD (Res) MBBS MCOptom Bsc (Hons) is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust with a specialist interest in complex and refractory glaucoma surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), glaucoma laser treatments and cataract surgery.
At King’s College London, he completed his MD (Res) thesis on new treatments for neovascular AMD. He has research interests in the latest therapies and has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international ophthalmology conferences.
Mr Petrarca originally qualified as an optometrist at City University, London before studying medicine at Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ medical school, London and then went on to complete his training in the London & South Thames region.
